EASFAA Vision and Mission

The Eastern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators - EASFAA - exists to provide its membership with professional development opportunities. These opportunities help prepare EASFAA members to ethically and competently serve the students, parents, and institutions they represent. EASFAA fills the unique role of providing professional services to both its individual members and state associations. EASFAA also acts as an advocate for regional policy positions with the United States Congress and the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA).

Vision Statement: EASFAA aspires to be a leader in the development of empowered financial aid professionals.

Mission Statement:  EASFAA promotes and supports the advancement of its members in higher education utilizing training, advocacy, education, and leadership development opportunities.

Diversity Statement:  In support of the EASFAA mission, we are committed to building and sustaining a diverse and inclusive community of professionals regardless of racial and gendered identities, age, national origin, intellectual or physical disabilities, religion, sexual orientation, professional and educational level, institutional type, or any other uniquely defined characteristics in accordance with the Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

EASFAA is responsible for facilitating communication between the States and the District that comprise our Association. Through this effort, we hope to bring about better understanding and cooperation among our diverse membership. Success, in this regard, will result in an increased sharing of expertise and less valuable time being expended on the development of duplicate programs. Through this effort, we can come to better appreciate the talents of our Regional colleagues and expedite our own professional group.
